Mr. Nelson is an Actor, Writer-Producer, Data Science Analyst, and Film and Digital Media Executive. Haywood Nelson has been a member of the entertainment community for over fifty years. A New York-born and raised actor he began his career as a child in advertising including popular 1960s campaigns (Lavoris, Campbell's Soup, Libby's, Polaroid, Hot Wheels, Rock'em Sock'em Robots, Johnny Lightening, Aurora AFX, Kojak, Dunkin Hines, Milk, Burger King, and Dean Witter), Soap Opera Appearance ("As the World Turns"), film ("Mixed Company" with Barbara Harris, Joseph Bologna, and Melville Shavelson, "Evilspeaks," and Dickie Roberts for Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions), Theatre on Broadway (Herb Gardner's "Thieves" with Valerie Harper, Marlo Thomas, Richard Mulligan, Michael Bennett, and Charles Grodin), and Television with seven years as the character "Dwayne" on the long-running ABC and Columbia Pictures Television (Sony Entertainment) series "What's Happening!!" and "What's Happening Now!! respectively."
Haywood has gone on to function behind-the-scenes in film production, including cinematography, screenwriting, film distribution foreign and account servicing with Tanglewood Entertainment Group, lighting technician with NBC Universal and Jazz at Lincoln Center, and lighting technician and LED video wall programmer in Las Vegas proper.
Functioning in the capacity of Business Development, Mr. Nelson has delivered in-Suite enhanced television and interactive content to the Hospitality Industry (JW Marriott and Helmsley Hotel Group and developed telecommunications and internet solutions as content distribution channels to niche markets in Francophone West Africa and the Caribbean.
Currently, Mr. Nelson is a consultant providing strategic business intelligence, program management, streamed media content, and Web 3 solutions.
Haywood has an educational background in Architecture, Electronics Engineering, Marketing Communications, and Data Science.
